Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCI) is a non-governmental organisation registered with the Registry of Societies Malaysia in 2022. It brings together Muslim Malaysian entrepreneurs, from micro, small and medium enterprises to large companies across many lines of business, who share a common interest in promoting international trade, foreign investment and Halal commerce.
MIICCI was established at the right moment, in the endemic and post-pandemic era, as the world works to rebuild its economy and improve trade. As a chamber of commerce that promotes international trade, foreign investment and Halal commerce, MIICCI helps its members meet global challenges, penetrate international markets and build robust businesses worldwide.
Government and international partners
MIICCI engages continuously with the Government of Malaysia as an input provider in developing the nation's trade and investment policy frameworks. This engagement is vital for economic growth, business development, international linkages, market access and meeting global requirements.
At home, MIICCI works with MITI, MIDA, MATRADE and SME Corporation Malaysia. Internationally, it engages with the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, Sakarya Chamber of Commerce, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, the World Halal Council (WHC), India Muslim Business Association (ATOBA), Türkiye's Halal certification body (GIMDES) and MUSIAD.
Leadership and national presence
Under the chairmanship of Tuan Haji Muhamad Amin Fahmi, MIICCI focuses on international trade, foreign investment and Halal commerce. With his broad global experience and solid business network abroad, MIICCI members and Malaysian companies benefit as they explore new business opportunities.
As a national-status NGO, MIICCI has representatives in every state in Malaysia to support members' businesses before they explore international markets. State leaders coordinate international trade enquiries from members in their state.
